Visual Merchandising Students present Historic Exhibit

What happens when two professors collaborate when one specializes in historic costume, the other visual merchandising? A historic exhibit of course!

Fashion Design and Merchandising majors faced a the ultimate project for their Historic Costume class (taught by Lynn Barnes) and Visual Merchandising course (taught by Nora MacDonald). Here are their exhibits that were on display at the Rio Carnival Day of Design in the Erickson Alumni Center.

It took the students several weeks of planning and developing, but once it came time to set up, it's clear what they had learned from their classes. This project has definitely been a great hands on way for students to apply their text book knowledge into every day work.
